Southwest Airlines is a major low-cost carrier U.S. airline. The company is based in Dallas, Texas. Southwest operates more than 3,400 flights per day. Until November 2014, it only had domestic destinations. But it now has service to 93 destinations in 41 states, Puerto Rico and abroad. The acquisition of AirTran brought the international routes. They are known for being an airline that only flies Boeing 737s and they have over 650 in service, each averaging six flights per day.
